Kearins becomes Sligo manager

Former Sligo player James Kearins has been ratified as the new manager of the county's senior football side following the departure of Peter Ford.

Kearins is well respected in the Yeats County and led Bunninadden to a county championship title in 2000 but he's got a job on his hands to reach the heights enjoyed by Ford.

Sligo came within a whisker of beating Armagh last year and have claimed the notable scalps of Kildare and Tyrone in recent seasons.
