Codd brands GAA 'tinkers and rogues'

Wexford hurling captain Paul Codd has labelled the GAA 'tinkers and rogues' for their stance on the controversial player sponsorship deal with bookmakers Paddy Power.

GAA President Sean Kelly has hinted that players who agreed to sport the company's logo on their hurleys - Codd, Damien Fitzhenry (both Wexford) and Seán Óg Ó hAilpín (Cork) are liable to six month suspensions for breaking official guidelines.

But Codd lashed: "They haven't got a leg to stand on, we earned another €1.5m for them last Sunday and they're still not happy.

"The GAA - they're only tinkers and rogues."
