McDonnell/Murphy win players of month

Armagh ace Steven McDonnell has been handed the Vodafone Player of the Month award for July in football while rejuvenated full-forward Larry Murphy has scooped the top prize in hurling.

McDonnell is a class act and racked up a massive 3-4 against Limerick while veteran Murphy, 30, led Wexford to a championship win over neighbours Waterford.
