Whelahan keeping quiet on quit threat

Team of the Century member Brian Whelahan is keeping quiet following reports that he and brothers Simon and Barry have quit the Offaly hurling panel in defiance at Simon's non selection.

Simon has been continually overlooked this year in a strange move by boss Mike McNamara and it appears a recent challenge game in which Simon was left on the bench was the final straw.
