Quane facing fitness fight for final

Limerick midfielder John Quane is facing an uphill battle to regain fitness in time for Sunday's Munster football final against Kerry.

The experienced player is doubtful with an Achilles injury and boss Liam Kearns admitted: "It would be a big blow to us if John was to miss out.

"He's very influential in the dressing room and the lads all look up to him. I could not speak highly enough about him. We are hoping we will get him there."
