Roscommon boss Tommy Carr has sensationally axed three players from his squad for disciplinary reasons despite the upcoming qualifier clash against Offaly on Saturday night.

Roscommon boss Tommy Carr has sensationally axed three players from his squad for disciplinary reasons despite the upcoming qualifier clash against Offaly on Saturday night.

Defenders Paul Noone, John Nolan and David O'Connor, the latter scoring the goal that downed Leitrim in injury time last time out, will all now miss out on the rest of the championship it is understood.

Roscommon secretary Tommy Mullaney said: "The management decided to release the players in question for disciplinary reasons."
