Cahill ruled out for Dubs

Young Dublin defender Barry Cahill has been ruled out for the rest of the season at least after suffering a career threatening cruciate knee ligament injury.

The St Brigids corner-back suffered the injury during a routine training session with the Dubs last week ahead of their upcoming qualifier clash with Derry.

Boss Tommy Lyons admitted: "It's a big blow for Barry because he is one of the bright young footballers in Dublin. All the lads were gutted when they heard the news."
