Kelly the star as Tipp trounce Laois
Tipperary 3-28, Laois 1-13
A rejuvenated Tipperary destroyed Laois by 21 points in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Qualifier at Portlaoise.
The game was over by the 15th minute - when Eoin Kelly pounced for his second goal - his first coming in the 13th minute.
Brian O'Meara got Tipperary's third on the resumption.
Kelly contributed 2-08 to Tipperary's tally, while former Kilkenny man Denis Byrne scored six points on his Championship debut for the Premier County.
Laois were never up to the task - despite the best efforts of goalkeeper John Lyons, James Young and David Cuddy.
