Westmeath's Mitchell to miss league final

Westmeath full-back David Mitchell has been ruled out of the NFL Division Two final against Limerick on May 4 with a leg injury.

Mitchell fractured a bone in his leg when he clashed with Longford forward Niall Sheridan and will also miss their championship opener with Carlow.

It has also emerged that Michael Ennis and Paul Conway are injury doubts for the Carlow tie too.
