Uninsured players may face lay-off
The GAA is considering banning uninsured players from action if numbers contributing to the players' insurance scheme do not rise.
At present just half of all children and adults playing both codes have availed of the scheme.
GAA corporate manager Ciaran O'Neill said: "There's nothing to stop us making it compulsory and if the numbers participating in the scheme don't voluntarily come up, that's what we will do."
