Meath star's injury not as bad as feared

Former Allstar Evan Kelly has not broken his arm as first feared and will be available to Meath for their championship opener on June 1.

Wing forward Kelly was taken to hospital for an X-ray following a heavy clash for club side Simonstown Gaels in the Meath SFC on Thursday.

However, it is now believed that the former Drumree man has received nothing more than heavy bruising, good news for county boss Sean Boylan.
