Mayo react with dismay at false radio reports

The Mayo county board has revealed its anger at a local radio's announcement that star footballer Kieran McDonald would not play for the county team this year.

Team boss John Maughan confirmed after their league clash with Meath that the Crossmolina star would indeed play though the radio station announced: "He would not be lining out for the county footballers this year."
