Kildare launch final league appeal
Kildare chiefs will launch a final bid to have the two league points stripped from them after their infamous clash with Sligo reinstated.
The Lilywhites are alleged to have submitted an inadequate team-sheet to the match referee before the game which they eventually won.
Relegation threatened Kildare need the points badly and county secretary Richie Whelan said: "We believe that the punishment was excessive and in no way reflective of what we had done."
