Cats defeat brave Laois
Laois 1-08 Kilkenny 1-17
Kilkenny collected their third brace of National League points when they came from behind to beat Laois at O'Moore Park.
In a game played in perfect conditions Laois took a surprise lead after 10 minutes when Brian McCormack took full advantage of a rare Kilkenny defensive slip to score a well-taken goal.
Laois added further points from James Young and David Cuddy to lead 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.
On the changeover Kilkenny stepped up a gear and the sides were level 10 minutes into the half.
Twice Laois were denied goals. But Kilkenny did the damage at the other end with a goal and added a series of points to run out comfortable winners.
