Wicklow sponsorship in doubt

Wicklow county board chairman Donal McGillycuddy has appealed to the County Council not to drop their sponsorship of the football team.

McGillycuddy is aware that the Garden County's form is hardly going to entice many high profile companies should the County Council withdraw funding as has been mooted.

"The finances are a huge help," McGillycuddy said. "They go to rural areas and youth in general so they really are vital."
