Whelehan 'extremely doubtful' for Birr

Birr star Brian Whelahan is rated as "extremely doubtful" for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final clash with Athenry after a freak domestic injury.

Amazingly, he picked up a severe back strain while putting down a bucket of turf at his home.

Elsewhere, Johnny Pilkington is doubtful after aggravating a groin injury from kicking a case of drinks in his pub.
