Already this year three players, Rory Mallon, Tomas Mahon and Redmond Barry, have been flitting between the two codes in warm-up tournaments.

But it won't be a problem during the championship according to football boss Dom Twomey, who said: "I welcome the sort of thinking that we have seen from Dave Keane, the Limerick manager, where players are being given the choice."
