Clare lose Forde

Clare hurling forward David Forde has ruled himself out of the upcoming inter-county season.

The school-teacher has cited the huge commitment needed to succeed as well as the fact that he is to get married in April as the reason for quitting.

He said: "I've bought a house as well so I can't afford to give the time.

"While I'm getting married the rest of the lads will be well on their way, so it won't be possible to come back."
