Offaly star Cullen to miss NFL

Experienced Offaly defender Finbarr Cullen has been will almost the entire upcoming NFL campaign through injury.

Cullen, 31, is hoping to shake off a painful Achilles injury in time for the latter stages of the competition - but realises it'll be tough work.

He said: "I've been given permission to do some work in the gym, and hopefully it won't be that long before I'm able to resume training with Offaly. It'll be a long road."
