Ballymun make history with astro-turf pitch

Dublin club side Ballymun Kickhams have hit the history books with the first-ever floodlit Astroturf GAA pitch in Ireland.

The club, home to Dublin favourites Davy Byrne, Ian Robertson and AllStar Paddy Christie, have taken a hugely progressive step.

The surface is actually the largest artificial one in the world and cost the club a whopping €1m.
