Galway board to investigate attack on referee

The Galway football board is set to launch an investigation into an attack on referee Mick Curley during a club game yesterday.

Curley was attacked after sending off Galway inter-county star Padraig Joyce while he was playing for Killererin.

Meanwhile, Dublin footballer Ray Cosgrove looks set to miss the first three games of the National Football League after also being sent off while playing for his club, Kilmacud Crokes, yesterday.
