Tyrone hurlers may disband

The Tyrone senior hurling panel may be disbanded because of a lack of interest in filling the jerseys.

At the recent county convention, secretary Dominic McCaughey expressed his "deep regret about a lack of pride" in playing for the Tyrone hurlers.

McCaughey warned that the team may be withdrawn from all competitions "until a new pride in representing the county develops".

It has been mooted that the county champions could represent the county in future.
