Canavan has op on broken jaw
Errigal Ciaran's Pascal Canavan has had a major operation on his jaw in the wake of Sunday's Ulster final win over Enniskillen Gaels.
The midfielder suffered a broken jaw in a clash with Gaels player Neil Cox who was red carded for the offence.
Canavan escaped with a yellow card and boss Mickey Harte said: "I didn't see the incident but I know the effect is a broken jaw."
Responding to comments from Gaels manager Seamus Doyle that Canavan should have been sent off too, Harte added: "It's a broken jaw, Maybe now the referee's decision doesn't seem so harsh."
