The Australian Football League has announced the Australian squad for next month's international rules tour of Ireland.

Selectors have named a 26-man squad for the two games, which will be played at Croke Park on Sunday, October 13 and Sunday, October 20.

The Australian squad will gather in Melbourne after the grand final next week - the culmination of the Australian Rules series - for a three-day training camp before heading to Dublin.

Ireland is the defending champion, having won last year's series here in Australia.

The Australian squad is: Mark Ricciuto, Tyson Edwards, Simon Goodwin, Jason Akermanis, Chris Johnson, Craig Bradley, Nathan Buckley, Paul Licuria, Matthew Pavlich, Shane Crawford, Angelo Lekkas, Adam Simpson, David Neitz, Adem Yze, Cameron Bruce, Matthew Primus, Warren Tredrea, Brett Montgomery, Josh Francou, Chad Cornes, Andrew Kellaway, Stephen Milne, Nick Riewoldt, Chris Judd, Daniel Kerr, Nathan Brown, Luke Darcy.
