Morrissey winning fitness battle
Tipperary intermediate hurling centre back Colin Morrissey is winning his battle to be fit for Saturday¹s All-Ireland intermediate hurling final replay against Galway in Birr.
Although the Tipperary management team have left the position vacant when they picked the side on Tuesday night, Morrissey they hope, will be able to take up his customary centre back berth when the ball is thrown on Saturday.
The Galtee Rovers player was injured in a club game last weekend when a plate which he has in his arm moved after taking a tackle.
He has been having treatment since and is hoping to be ready in time for the fray.
Tipperary will definitely be without star forward Mark Keeshan who broke his collar bone at the weekend playing for his club.
