Donegal midfielder retires from inter-county scene
Donegal midfielder John Gildea has retired from inter-county duty.
The Naomh Conaill man debuted in 1995 but at 31 he's decided to opt out of the county panel citing the huge strain as his reason.
Gildea will follow boss Mickey Moran out of the set-up and admitted: "It's been a very long year and I think my game was beginning to get affected."
