O’Se cleared for Kerry-Cork semi-final
GAA president Sean McCague has cleared the way for Kerry captain Daragh O’Se to play for his county in this weekend’s All-Ireland football semi-final against Cork in Croke Park.
O’Se had received a red card in a club game, an offence that would normally warrant a one-month suspension, but he was exonerated following a meeting of the Kerry County Board last week.
That ruling caused a storm of controversy and McCague intervened.
In a statement released this afternoon, the GAA chief said that after viewing all the relevant reports, he is not in a position to take any action beyond that which has already been decided upon.
