An Ghaeltacht's Darragh Ó Sé was not cited for a red card offence in referee Tom McCarthy's match report but a late tackle.

The Kerry star was sent off for his club in a recent county SFC match with Austin Stacks. But he has since been cleared to face Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday.

Ó Sé was given the green light after a meeting of the Kerry General Purposes Board on the weekend.

County Board Chairman Sean Walsh admitted: "The referee has admitted there was a misunderstanding between him and the umpire. And since there was no video evidence we had to rule on the referee's report."
