Armagh have taken the first-half advantage in their All-Ireland quarter-final against Sligo at Croke Park.
Sligo drew first blood with a point from Ciaran Quinn, but three Oisin McConville frees gave the Orchard county the early advantage.
John McEntee followed up with a fourth point, before Gerry McGowan pulled a point back for Sligo.
Corner-back Neil Carew added another for the Westerners, but Armagh found the back of the Sligo net in the 22nd minute through Stephen McDonnell to silence the Sligo challenge.
