Canavan to start on Sunday

Pascal Canavan will make his first championship start of the season for Tyrone in Sunday's football qualifier against Sligo at Croke Park.

Canavan will start at centre-half-forward, with Cormac McAnallen moving back to midfield. Jarlath Quinn is the one to lose out.

Joint managers Art Mc Crory and Eugene Mc Kenna have selected Declan McCrossan to replace the injured Gerard Cavlan at left-half-forward, with Peter Ward regaining the goalkeeper's position.

Elsewhere Eamonn Doherty is the only change in the Donegal team from that which was defeated to Armagh in the Ulster final. He replaces the injured Mark Crossan for their qualifier against Meath.
