Limerick under-21s squeeze into Munster final
Limerick 1-15 Cork 1-14
Limerick withstood a strong second half Cork rally to reach the Munster under-21 hurling final.
Reigning champions Limerick lead by 1-10 to 0-05 at half-time, thanks largely to a well-taken goal from corner forward Andrew O’Shaughnessy in the 23rd minute.
However, Cork were a transformed side after the break and were ahead by 1-11 1-10 midway through the second half.
Three late pointed frees from Mark Keane halted the Cork onslaught and helped Limerick set up a Munster final showdown against either Tipperary or Waterford.
