Ja Fallon has lost his battle to be fit for the Connacht football final at the weekend.

The Galway star has failed to recover from a knee injury and his place in the half-forward line goes to Tommy Joyce.

In the only other change to John O'Mahony's side fit-again Derek Savage returns, with Alan Kerins relegated to the bench.

Meanwhile, Nicky English has handed Toomevara's Benny Dunne a full championship debut for Sunday's Guinness Munster Hurling final against Waterford.

Dunne starts at right half forward in place of his clubmate John O'Brien - while the only other change from the side that overwhelmed Limerick in the semi-final sees Lar Corbett come in for Eugene O'Neill at corner forward.

Waterford have named brothers Ken and Eoin in McGrath in their side that shows two changes from the side that upset the Rebels.

With Ken McGrath's inclusion and the return of Brian Greene - Andy Moloney and Dave Bennett drop to the bench.
