Meath extend winning run against Westmeath - Match Report

Meath extended their unbeaten championship sequence against Westmeath to 19 matches at Portlaoise.

The Royal County side were 1-7 to 0-6 to the good at the break thanks to a late first half goal from Evan Kelly which was set up by Ollie Murphy.

That advantage was never in any trouble in a scrappy second period when three pointed frees from Trevor Giles kept Sean Boylan' s men in control.

Meath now advance to play Dublin in the next round.
