GAA: Final day for Allianz NFL

The final day of the Allianz National Football Leagues sees Cavan take on Tyrone in an all-Ulster contest this afternoon.

Tyrone have never won the title and their impressive form so far this season saw them emerge from Division One and defeat defending champions Mayo in the semi-final.

The only other time Tyrone reached the final was in 1992 when Derry defeated them and the current panel will be hoping to set the record straight this afternoon.

Cavan for their part had a successful league campaign and can now rely on other players other than the McConville-Marsden axis for scores. The final takes place in Clones at 3:30pm.

Elsewhere the Division Two final is a contest between, overwhelming favourites, Kerry and Laois. Kerry finally gained revenge for last year’s All Ireland semi-final defeat against Meath in the last round where they ran out impressive winners and they will be looking to keep that momentum going for today’s match. The game kicks-off at the Gaelic Grounds at 3:15pm.
