GAA: Westmeath defeat Cork
Westmeath 1-14 1-6 Cork
Westmeath walked over a severely depleted Cork side in a wet Mullingar today.
The hosts, who are themselves missing a number of players, were never in danger of losing this game at any stage over the 70 minutes.
They led 1-8 0-3 at the break with the goal arriving in the second minute from Fallon after some excellent approach play.
Phillip Clifford gave Cork some hope with a goal just after half time.
But Westmeath dominance ensured a victory for Luke Dempsey's side.
