GAA Football: Down get of to winning way

Down 1-17 1-13 Fermanagh

Down collected the first points in division 1b of the Allianz National Football League with an impressive win over Fermanagh.

Star of the Down side was former Fermanagh player Shane King, who scored seven of Down's points.

In a game played in difficult weather conditions the crowd were treated to a hearty display of football from both teams.

However it was not to be Fermanagh's day as a resounding display by Down ensured their season got off to a good start.
