Football: Murphy could miss out for Cork
Conrad Murphy could miss Cork's National Football League opener against Westmeath with an ankle injury.
The Clonakilty star went over on his ankle in a challenge match playing for the Cork Under-21s against the county seniors on Saturday and is considered very doubtful for Sunday's trip to Mullingar.
The Evening Echo reports that no serious damage was done but Murphy's ankle was swollen after the game and the true nature of the injury will not be known until it is checked out.
Cork announce their team tomorrow night with newcomers James O'Shea and Niall Geary already ruled out through injury.
