Long-serving captain Graham Canty has become the latest Cork player to announce his retirement from senior inter-county following, joining recent retirees Noel O'Leary and Paudie Kissane in bowing out.

Wing back Brian O'Driscoll will start for Cork in tomorrow's Cadbury All-Ireland Under-21 Football semi-final against Cavan at O'Connor Park in Tullamore (throw-in 3.45pm).

THEIR provincial final scare was as real as it gets. Three weeks ago the Cork Under-21s performed a great escape act, squeezing out Tipperary by a point thanks to a last-gasp goal from the unlikeliest of sources, corner-back Noel Galvin.
