GAA: O'Loughlin Gaels thrash Dublin champs
O'Loughlin Gaels (Kilkenny) 2-21, Craobh Chiarain (Dublin) 0-05 (full-time)
Kilkenny's O'Loughlin Gaels went on a scoring spree as they thrashed Craobh Chiarain of Dublin by 2-21 to 0-5 in their Leinster Club Hurling quarter-final at Parnell Park.
In a completely one-sided game, Nigel Skehan got Gaels' first goal after eight minutes and from there to the finish they were never in any danger.
Skehan tacked on a few more points to finish with 1-7 and the man of the match award.
Brian Dowling also knocked over a number of great points for the winners, for whom Andy Comerford and Alan Geoghegan lorded at midfield.
Ciaran's had to wait until the fifth minute of the second half for their first score from play, although Kevin O'Donoghue did turn in an outstanding performance at full back.
