GAA Central Council to be abolished

The GAA’s Strategic Review Committee will shortly unveil a package of reforms, one of which will see the end of Central Council Delegates in the Association.

The GAA’s Strategic Review Committee will shortly unveil a package of reforms, one of which will see the end of Central Council Delegates in the Association.

The SRC believes that Central Council as it now exists plays no meaningful part in decision-making or policy within the GAA.

It wants to replace elected delegates with the 32 Chairmen of the County Boards, who would then form the new body.
