GAA: O'Meara attempts to avoid All-Ireland ban
Tipperary hurler Brian O’Meara will go before a disciplinary hearing of the GAA’s Games Administration Committee today in an effort to avoid being banned for next month’s All-Ireland final against Galway.
However, the player is likely to receive a one-month ban as punishment for his sending off against Wexford in the semi-final replay.
This evening’s GAC hearing will also deal with Dublin manager Tommy Carr’s pitch incursion during the football quarter-final against Kerry.
He could receive a 24-week ban for pushing the linesman in a fit of pique.
