Hurling: English sounds Tipp warning

Tipperary senior hurling manager, Nicky English, is soundng the warning bells for the premier county's clash with Wexford in the Guinness All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final.

The game takes place in Croke Park on Sunday Aug 12, and the Lattin-Cullen man is very concerned about the challenge Wexford will pose.

"I will be extremely wary of them to be perfectly honest. I am asking the Tipperary supporters to be at the match and to be much more vocal than they were in the Munster final. We need to get behind our team because you can be certain that the Wexford supporters will be behind their lads. This is the game to be at - if we lose this, there won't be another. This is the one we have to win now and our supporters can play a big role in that." he said.

The Tipp supremo added: "As a team we have to perform in Croke Park. We went there last year and we didn't play well. We have to rectify that this time round and we want to give our supporters something to cheer about ."
