GAA: Cavan take three-point interval lead

Tyrone 1-05, Cavan 1-08 (half-time)

Underdogs Cavan lead Tyrone by three points at the interval in the Ulster Football Final at Clones.

The favourites began well, and put pressure on the Cavan backs which culminated in a goal, supplied by Owen Mulligan and fisted into the back of the net by Cormac McAnallen in the 18th minute.

A superbly-taken goal by Jason O'Reilly put Cavan into the lead for the first time just four minutes before the break.

The full-forward took a pass from McCabe and shrugged off Lawn to squeeze a shot between keeper McConnell and the near post.

O'Reilly then scored a point from play to put Cavan further into the lead.

Then, Anthony Forde and Edward Jackson both scored injury-time points for Cavan.

Several players have been booked already - including both of Tyrone's corner-backs.
