GAA: Cuddy injury time goal gives Laois hurlers win
There was a dramatic finish to the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship clash between Dublin and Laois at Nowlan Park.
Twelve months ago, the sides had met and it took a replay at Tullamore before Dublin advanced by four points.
Today at Nowlan Park, they lead by 1-7 0-7 at the break, their goal coming from Ger Ennis 30 minutes into the match.
Dublin stretched their lead on resumption leading by six points with 15 minutes left.
David Cuddy, who got 11 points for Laois, now scored four-in-a-row unanswered, but Dublin still clung to a two point lead.
Three minutes into injury time Paul Cuddy, centre-half back for Laois and twin brother of David, struck a powerful shot from 45 metres to beat Dublin keeper Brendan McLaughlin and put Laois ahead for the first time in the match.
They meet Wexford in the Provincial semi-final for the first time since 1985 when they beat Wexford then.
