Kilkenny boss Cody impressed as young Cats showing steel and spirit

Kilkenny boss Brian Cody was encouraged by his newer, less experienced players’ commitment to closing out yesterday’s narrow win over Tipperary in Nowlan Park.

“Yeah, the maturity the young lads showed really to kind of hang in there and realise that we were after losing a lead and to keep hurling.

“That’s what they did and there was great genuineness and great spirit showed out there. I’d be very happy with it.”
