Top table officers at the Duhallow convention in North Cork have stressed the importance of the national anthem and tricolour remaining central components of GAA match-days.

The association’s president Aogán Ó Fearghail recently stated that the GAA would have to reconsider its use of the national anthem and Irish flag in the event of any future political realignment on the island.

Duhallow chairman Joe Kearns told delegates that Amhrán na bhFiann should continue to be heard on match-day.
