Second round fixtures are down for decision in three of the four groups, with the third and final round of games being played in group D.
St Fachtna’s, Skibbereen, currently bottom of group D and without a win after their opening two games, must claim victory against Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra, Rathmore at Kilmurry (1.30pm throw-in) if they are to have any chance of reaching the knockout stages.
Pobalscoil Chorca Duibhne, who have two wins from two, face St Flannan’s at Mountcollins. Victories for the Dingle and Skibbereen colleges would see Corca Duibhne advance as group winners, with the three remaining teams tied on two points.
In group A, Tralee CBS and St Francis College, Rochestown, both of whom won their opening round games, clash at Millstreet.
Coláiste Choilm Ballincollig and Coláiste na Sceilge, both chasing a first victory, square off at Lewis Road, Killarney.
There’s another top of the table clash in group B at Mallow between Mercy Mounthawk and Coláiste Chríost Rí. Clonakilty Community College and Clonmel High School meet at St Michael’s in Cork city. Both schools were well beaten in their opening bouts last month.
In group C, champions St Brendan’s, Killarney, who had 19 points to spare over Killorglin first time out, are in Rathmore where they play De La Salle College, Macroom. Ballyvourney is the venue for IS Killorglin and Hamilton High School.
In the Harty Cup, Blackwater Community School, Lismore and Castletroy College vie for top spot in group C at Sean Treacy Park in Tipperary town. Both are already guaranteed of their place in the last 16, with the winners advancing to face De La Salle College, Waterford, while Nenagh CBS await the losers.
All games have a 1.30pm start.
