Ice-cool Mark Webster rescues Fenians

Danesfort 0-14 Fenians 0-14: Danesfort and Fenians must do it all over again after the battle to beat the drop from Kilkenny’s senior hurling ranks ended all square in Palmerstown on Saturday.

Danesfort were sharp early on, taking a quick lead thanks in the main to inter-county man Richie Hogan.

The 2015 Hurler of the Year hit four swift points to help his side open up a five-point lead (0-6 to 0-1) but Mark Webster’s accuracy from frees pulled Fenians back into the game as the half wore on.
