Ballincollig’s John Miskella: ‘Coming down on Tuesday and Thursday is what I would have missed’

When, in 2011, he announced his retirement from all GAA due to a groin injury, he had only played in one county SFC semi-final for the club, and that in 1999. Ultimately, his retirement from club action didn’t prove to be permanent, as a manpower shortage with the Collig hurlers saw him drafted back in mid-2012 and a football return soon followed.
The wisdom of coming back was shown as the club won the Andy Scannell Cup in 2014. A perfect way to sign off for a second time?
