Kiladangan end long wait to reach Tipp final, will play champions Thurles Sarsfields

Kiladangan will play champions Thurles Sarsfields in the Tipperary SHC final - a repeat of the 1938 decider, Kiladangan’s last in the Tipp showpiece.

Joe Gallagher was the Kiladangan hero, scoring a goal in either half in a comfortable 2-16 to 0-13 win over Killenaule.

Former Tipp keeper Darragh Egan also added five points from centre-forward and linked play superbly, overshadowing his opposite number John “Bubbles” O’Dywer, who was untypically out of sorts, scoring just three points from frees.
